Kirk Herbstreit highlighted several standout performances from Week 3 of the college football season, including four players from the SEC. At the top of his list was Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe, who had an impressive game in a 42-10 victory over South Florida. Milroe completed 12 of 17 passes for 196 yards and three touchdowns while also rushing for 75 yards and two additional scores.
Another SEC player making Herbstreit’s list was Texas A&M quarterback Marcel Reed, who stepped up in place of an injured Conner Weigman. Reed threw for 178 yards and two touchdowns while adding 83 rushing yards and a score, leading the Aggies to a win over Florida.
Herbstreit also praised LSU’s Bradyn Swinson for his defensive performance against South Carolina, where Swinson tallied three sacks and five total tackles, contributing to LSU’s 36-33 victory.
