NBC Sports, in partnership with EA Sports and Genius Sports,
is introducing a “Madden NFL Cast” as an alternate broadcast for the Houston Texans vs. Kansas City Chiefs game on December 21, 2024. This first-of-its-kind broadcast will stream exclusively on Peacock and merge live game coverage with elements from the popular Madden NFL video game.
The broadcast will feature animated overlays, player ratings, play cards, and route trees, using real-time data from the NFL’s Next Gen Stats. The commentary team includes Paul Burmeister, former NFL player Chad Ochocinco, Madden expert Kurt Benkert, and professional gamer Henry Leverette. This innovative format aims to enhance football strategy and viewer engagement by blending video game aesthetics with live sports.
