Alabama Crimson Tide head coach Kalen DeBoer recently shared an encouraging assessment of freshman quarterback Keelon Russell following the team’s first spring practice. Russell, a five-star recruit from Texas, enrolled early to participate in spring camp, showcasing his commitment to contributing immediately.
DeBoer expressed high regard for Russell’s potential, stating, “He’s up there. He certainly is.” He acknowledged that while Russell has considerable room for development, the freshman is enthusiastic about his growth throughout the spring.
